Electronic Flyer Delivery Starts December 9
The paper flyers we have been sending home will now be sent electronically to your inbox. These eflyers can also be viewed by clicking on the Peachjar button that has been placed on each school’s website homepage. This “green” initiative will save our schools tons of paper and reduce copy costs by thousands of dollars. On top of that, it is our belief that this paperless delivery of school flyers will ensure important information gets delivered directly to you in a more efficient manner.
No action is required on your part. You will receive a welcome email from the “Peachjar” the service provider that will include a username and password. This is provided to give you the opportunity to manage your account and flyer delivery preferences. You do not need to login to receive or view eflyers.
To ensure smooth delivery of this communication, we suggest you add “firstname.lastname@example.org” to your email contacts. Note: add “email@example.com” to your contact list just as written; DO NOT change it to the name of your school @peachjar.com. When you receive your first eflyer, be sure to click “always display images.”
If you do not receive an email from Peachjar, it could mean your email address is not on file with your school, or there is an error with the address on file. Please see your school office to inquire.
This system is used exclusively for distribution of school-approved flyers. Your email address will not be shared or used for any other purpose.
Thank you for helping us save time, money, and LOTS of trees!
District Advisory Membership Being Sought
The District Advisory Committee (DAC) meets 4 times a year to provide valuable input on parent involvement in the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District. While DAC is a function of Title I, the exchange of information between Title I and non Title I schools is essential for building the best programs for our students. We would like to have representation from each school on this committee. Meetings are Fridays, 1:00-2:30, at the district office (10/24, 1/16, 3/6, and 5/29). If you have an interest in getting involved or just learning more, please contact your school principal. Thanks!

Seco Health Services
The LVJUSD School Nurses are continually monitoring information from Alameda County Public Health regarding communicable diseases. This year, in addition to seasonal flu, we are also tracking updates and recommendations regarding Enterovirus D-68 and Ebola. For additional information, please visit http://www.acphd.org/
In light of the enterovirus moving thru California now, we want parents to be as vigilant as possible to protect good health of their children. Good handwashing is one of the main ways to protect oneself!!!!
