New Hydration Station

We are happy to announce the addition of the Arroyo Seco Hydration Station located on the playground. Students should bring reusable water bottles to school labeled with names so they can start using the refill station. Cold, filtered water is available for our Arroyo Seco Community. By refilling water bottles, we are helping the environment and our bodies stay healthy. The hydration station was funded by the Altamont Education Advisory Board. District Conservation Consultant, David Darlington, and teacher, Lisa Wilson, wrote the grant to fund this project. Be sure to stop by the Hydration Station to check it out!

Electronic Flyer Delivery

Electronic Flyers for Parents

Keep an eye out for the paper flyers we are sending home electronically to your inbox.  These eflyers can also be viewed by clicking on the Peachjar button that has been placed on each school’s website homepage.  This “green” initiative will save our schools tons of paper and reduce copy costs by thousands of dollars.  On top of that, it is our belief that this paperless delivery of school flyers will ensure important information gets delivered directly to you in a more efficient manner.

No action is required on your part.  You will receive a welcome email from the “Peachjar” the service provider that will include a username and password.  This is provided to give you the opportunity to manage your account and flyer delivery preferences.  You do not need to login to receive or view eflyers.

To ensure smooth delivery of this communication, we suggest you add “school@peachjar.com” to your email contacts.  Note:  add “school@peachjar.com” to your contact list just as written; DO NOT change it to the name of your school @peachjar.com.  When you receive your first eflyer, be sure to click “always display images.”

If you do not receive an email from Peachjar, it could mean your email address is not on file with your school, or there is an error with the address on file.  Please see your school office to inquire.

This system is used exclusively for distribution of school-approved flyers.  Your email address will not be shared or used for any other purpose.

Thank you for helping us save time, money, and LOTS of trees!

LICE ADVICE!

Head lice are making the rounds right now at most, if not all, schools.  It can be transferred easily from child to child and spread quickly.  To help limit the spread, please check your child’s scalp, neck and behind the ears under bright lighting on a routine basis. Lice are small insects, the size of a sesame seed, and light brown in color.  Nits are the eggs that attach to hair shafts.  If found, notify your school office and treat accordingly. A good site for information is HERE. For further information, check the links below:
