Principal's Message

Welcome to Arroyo Seco!

I am so honored to be part of this wonderful community and am privileged to be the principal! Our experienced and highly talented staff at Arroyo Seco are all committed to nurturing the social, emotional and academic growth for each child. Our staff works endlessly to offer hands on, engaging lessons through S.T.E.A.M units, the use of our newly updated Makerspace and our creative, thoughtful teachers to help students develop the skills needed for success. As the stewards of your child’s well-being, we guide your child through the maze of exciting new activities and expectations, while gently lifting him or her over any hurdles that may be encountered on this new road. Teachers and parents united is the key to success as well as providing the solid base for school achievement, joy, and satisfaction for years to come. The staff joins hands with you and appreciates your most essential role as endeavors to support your child’s first steps in this milestone beginning year.

Mrs. Esmat

Congratulations to our retiring Seco teachers!!!!

Earlier this year Mrs. Pedersen retired and end of year we will say goodbye to Mrs. Coupe and Mrs. Harrison. Please take a moment to thank them for their hard work and dedication! Field day is this Wednesday and will be a great opportunity to say good bye and wish them well. We wish them much enjoyment in what's yet to come! Thank you to our awesome teachers!!

Congratulations, Arroyo Seco Community, for collecting over 21,000 Box Tops this school year!  This is a school record & Arroyo Seco Elementary is the top Box Tops collecting school in the Livermore Valley Unified School District.  Such an amazing accomplishment!

We want to challenge every student at Arroyo Seco to collect at least 25 Box Tops this summer.

Seco Health Services

The LVJUSD School Nurses are continually monitoring information from Alameda County Public Health regarding communicable diseases. Please immunize to help prevent the flu by getting the flu shot.  HERE are some GREAT ways to stay healthy from the Alameda County Public Health Department.

Head lice can be transferred easily from child to child and spread quickly.  To help limit the spread, please check your child’s scalp, neck and behind the ears under bright lighting on a routine basis. Lice are small insects, the size of a sesame seed, and light brown in color.  Nits are the eggs that attach to hair shafts.  If found, notify your school office and treat accordingly. A good site for information is HERE. For further information, check the links below:
